We know that this is a very precious age and we want to come alongside you and work towards developmental milestones, healthy attachments, and a strong home/school partnership. Our staff is handpicked for their natural ability to care for young infants, and their passion for this age group. We provide hands on sensory activities to promote learning, as well as a variety of toys and materials to develop small and large motor development, language, and social understanding. At this age every baby has a unique schedule and with our Communication, both formal and informal, is key for building the relationships between families and teachers, daily reports are prepared by the teachers. In our nursery the love of learning and school begins, and at Children's Academy that love will continue for years to come!

Age Range: Our toddler program serves children from 12 months to 20 months. The teacher/child ratio is 1 to 6.
No longer content with peek-a-boo and multiple naps throughout the day, our toddlers are moving and grooving from morning till evening! Bursting with energy and a boundless curiosity, they are exploring the world around them as quickly as possible while refining development skills. The toddlers are offered unstructured play time each morning in order to allow them to enter the group at their own pace before moving into the day. We offer daily scheduled activities such as art, music, physical activities, dramatic play and story time in our flexible schedule. Our teachers are quick to promote the use of language, encourage movement, and create an environment that encourages social interactions. Daily notes are sent home daily, letting you know of your child's needs and how their day was.

Before/After School
Summer camp
Our school-age program serves children ages 5 to 11 years, ratio is 1 to 15. Our program travels to many of our local school districts including: Oakwood, Viewmont, Southwest, Longview, Campbell. Snowcreek, Murray, and Saint Stephens.
Our program helps children in the following ways.
-
Help young people develop strong, positive relationships with adults.
-
Build on the young person's strengths rather than focus on his or her weaknesses.
-
Provide an environment that helps young people develop positive relationships with peers.
-
Give youth challenges they can rise to.
-
Provide enriching, creative activities they can participate in.
-
Give youth opportunities to develop leadership and decision-making skills.
-
Focus on the developmental needs of young people by nurturing their autonomy at the same time the programs lend them guidance.
-
Provide all of these opportunities over the long term.
Children enjoy many activities during the summer when they are out of school. Our kids get to enjoy field trips swimming, putt-putt, bowling, parks, learning and exploring trips and so much more. Some days the children will enjoy two field trips a day, other times we are doing fun activities within our center. At the end of the summer we go on a big trip that parents and children can enjoy together. During our camp we still focus on the things that we relay within our before/after school program.
Not only do the children get to have fun but they are learning new things as well. Each week the children have a new lesson that goes along with some of our trips.
Our summer camps are known for providing a safe environment where children gain self-confidence as they learn new skills. Camp is also a place where children develop a variety of social skills (e.g., communication, conflict resolution ability).
